Job Description

The Ashesi Education Collaborative (EduCollab) is Ashesi’s key scaling initiative. It is the main vehicle to facilitate the scaling of the university’s impact across the continent. The aim is to transform the systems and improve the student, institutional, and regulatory outcomes of higher education in Africa. It does this through collaborative partnerships, direct mentorships, and resource sharing across higher education stakeholders on the continent.
The Senior Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Coordinator leads the management, implementation, and reporting of the impact outcomes framework and monitoring plan for the EduCollab. S/He is responsible for designing, updating, disseminating, and tracking of data for monitoring and evaluation of the initiative’s strategic impact goals, and reach.
Reports to: The Director, Education Collaborative
Responsibilities
• Implementing the Monitoring & Evaluation activities of the initiative as set within the strategic goals and impact framework
• Ensure the continued quality and relevance of the monitoring and evaluation system designed
• Monitor the project activities on a regular basis, providing reports as needed to Director and board for strategic decision making
• Coordinate with the hub directors, programs, and communications teams in tracking and evaluating activities on schedule
• Present data analysis outputs in formats for researchers to access for further study
• Assist the Director in preparing quarterly and annual impact reports on progress of the initiative to goal
• Working with the communications team, ensure up to date and relevant impact data and reports are on website and other relevant platforms
Contract length: Fulltime
Relevant Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
• At least 2 years of working experience
• Experience conducting statistical and graphical analysis of data
• Experience setting up systems for data collection over extended period
• Skilled in data visualization and creative presentation techniques
• Can communicate with various audiences using multiple channels
